Walking safaris are different to a regular game drive safari in that you are on foot walking among wild animals in their own habitat. Being on foot you get closer to both animals and nature and it gives you a better understanding of the area you are exploring. This is safari in it's purest form. Walking Safaris normally last for two to four hours depending on what National Park you’re in. All walking safari groups are accompanied by armed park rangers and skilled safari guides ensuring your safety.
For those looking for a unique and active safari experience, a walking safari provides a welcome break to sitting in a vehicle for days on end. While walking you have the opportunity to stalk wildlife, search for tracks, and mix with indigenous cultures.
Since we have been offering walking safaris in the nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area for more than 15 years we have a solid base to build on. Being chosen to develop these Serengeti walks underlines our safe working practices, high eco standards and commitment to adventure travel. The walking areas in the Serengeti are pristine and fragile – virtually unvisited for the past 50 years – and we are committed to preserving this stunning wilderness.
