This is another type of safari that caters specifically to bird lovers. It can be combined with other types of safaris or it can be designed specifically as a Birds Watching Safari. Tanzania is one of Africa’s best birding destinations, with more than 1300 recorded species. On every birding trip a fair number of endemic species can be seen. Besides Lake Manyara and Arusha National Parks which are famous for water birds and other savannah and forest species, all the game parks in Tanzania have an amazing array of birdlife including Eurasian migrants. The most interesting part is that the birdlife may vary from park to park depending on habitats providing a richer viewing experience to the birder.
In the morning you will be fetched from your hotel and taken to Tarangire National Park. The Tarangire National Park with its endless tree savanna and seasonal marshes is ideal place for bird lovers, also home to the largest elephant herd in North Tanzania; with over 4000 at the last count, it takes some beating. To add to this you also can watch giraffes, buffalo, lions, zebras, gnus and different types of antelopes and gazelles.
